Cryopreservation of plant tissue
Plant cryopreservation includes the storing of plant tissue submerged in liquid nitrogen at -196°C or in the vapour sate of LN at -135°C in a way that the activity of the stored tissues can be retained upon the re-warming of the tissue. Cryopreservation is generally applied in plant species with dehydration sensitivities seeds that are not storable by any other means.
